The Founder

I’m Fiorella, the founder, designer, and creative director of the Fiorella Myklebust brand. My passion for fashion began in my teenage years, but it was through my work as a Norwegian agent for high-end Peruvian brands that I truly discovered my talent and love for design. As a self-taught fashion designer, I take immense pride in crafting pieces that bridge heritage, craftsmanship, and modern elegance.

Born and raised in Peru, I left Lima over 25 years ago to reconnect with my Spanish roots in Europe. While I consider myself a global citizen, Peru remains deeply rooted in my heart. Norway, however, has become my home since 2001, where I live with my husband and two sons.

This unique blend of cultures ultimately inspired me to create a brand that merges the best of both worlds—Scandinavian minimalism and Peruvian artisanal mastery.

With a deep appreciation for luxury fibers and centuries-old traditions, my mission is to introduce Peruvian craftsmanship and the legendary history behind it to Norway and the rest of Scandinavia. Every piece I design is a tribute to sustainability, quality, and timeless style.

Traveling the world from an early age has shaped my perspective, influencing my approach to fashion and design. After becoming a mother, my dream of building a personal brand became my life’s work. I’ve chosen to embrace “slow fashion,” resisting outside partnerships and fundraising to grow my brand on my own terms, at my own pace.

Beyond design, I am deeply committed to women’s empowerment. I lead a mastermind group for female entrepreneurs in Norway and actively participate in forums that champion women's voices and leadership.

Through Fiorella Myklebust, I strive to make high-end garments accessible to more women—crafted from the world’s most exclusive natural materials. At the heart of it all, my mission remains clear: to create with integrity, preserve artisanal excellence, and celebrate sustainable luxury.

Luxury, as we’ve known it, is overdue for redefinition. For too long, it has been driven by excess, trends, and the pressure to be seen—loud logos, fast cycles, constant consumption. But the world has changed. And so must we. As a founder, I don’t just want to create beautiful pieces. I want to empower women to make conscious choices—choices rooted in self-respect, awareness, and responsibility. Because what we wear should not be dictated by trends, but by intention.

We don’t need more. We need better. We need pieces that last, that carry meaning, that are chosen—not impulse-bought.
Our planet cannot sustain the way we’ve consumed fashion in the past. And real luxury today is not about having more, but about choosing with care. It is about timelessness over trends, craftsmanship over mass production, and values over visibility.

This is not just about building a brand. It’s about building a new standard—one where elegance is responsible, where women feel empowered in their choices, and where what we wear reflects not just who we are, but what we stand for. That is the legacy I want to create.

Wear values. Wear story. Wear sustainable luxury.
